The Department of Cybersecurity and Space Applications explores the wide-ranging applications of artificial intelligence in ensuring cybersecurity. The group includes members from the Department of Communications within the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology, as well as from the Department of Computer Science within the Faculty of Automation and Computer Science.
The Microelectronics Department within PICIA aims to address eight research themes. Each of these themes highlights how artificial intelligence (AI) can facilitate and improve the 2 design, analysis, and manufacturing processes in the field of integrated circuits, thus contributing to the development of more advanced and efficient technologies.
The Robotics & IoT Department of ICIA offers an extensive range of RDI services (Research–Development–Innovation) tailored to the needs of SMEs in industry, public administration, and services, with a strong focus on applied artificial intelligence, intelligent robotics, and industrial digitalization.
The research program focuses on four major directions addressing critical needs for innovation across multiple medical specialties.
Our department is also active in the field of artificial intelligence, with applications in: robotics and nonlinear control, neuroscience, big data man-agement and analysis, energy transition and sustainability, agentic AI, and knowledge representation, also addressing challenges related to the deployment of AI models in distributed environments.
