Optimization methodologies for the design of power management integrated circuits used in the automotive industry
The general objective is the acquisition of new knowledge and competencies for the development of the next generation of power management integrated circuits, with performance surpassing that of currently available solutions. The research scope encompasses AI-based tools for the (semi-)automation of analog circuit design, focusing particularly on the optimization of circuit element sizing based on an extensive set of criteria.
Automation of Pre- and Post-Silicon Verification using Artificial Intelligence (AI) Methods
The core of the research focuses on the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to facilitate the (semi-)automation of analog circuit design. Specifically, the project explores AI-based methodologies for the multi-criteria optimization of circuit element sizing, allowing for a more robust and efficient design process compared to traditional manual iterations. Furthermore, the scope extends to the automation of pre- and post-silicon verification phases. By leveraging AI-driven techniques in the verification pipeline, the project seeks to identify potential failures earlier and streamline the transition from design to hardware.
